Chris Holsten – – Caring for love has become part of me

– It has been heavy

In the process, he realized that he had not gone as far in the grieving process as he had thought.

– I was going to take it further, that was the idea. But as we wrote the songs, he became sadder than he had imagined. We just sat down and wrote and wrote and realized that “this is a dark thing.” I tried to write a lighthearted song, but was dragged back to the basement, Holsten explains to Dagbladet.

Now, however, he emphasizes that he is in a much better place, even though he believes that love will always be there.

– It has become a part of me and has become who I have become. I made a difficult decision a while ago, and I defend it. It feels good to me, even though it’s been heavy. I have been able to see it positively and what I have learned from it. It took a long time, I’m still in the process, but I’ve gotten much further than when I wrote the EP, he explains.

Introverted and full of emotion.

The breakup goes back several years, but Holsten has previously stated that it was a long time ago when he wasn’t ready to seek love again.

– It was the first thing of love, and it was very difficult and it took me to bed, simply. It was a period of life when I was in the basement. But now I’m much kinder, he says and laughs.

Holsten may have received a “handsome” stamp early in his career, but he says no. He hopes to have appeared in “Star Fight” and “Every Time We Meet”.

– I think most people have seen me as a guy who always wants to jump and jump, a “happy, go and lucky” guy who is often at the center. But I’m more introvert than extrovert, and I have a lot of emotions, says the 26-year-old.

It became apparent earlier this spring, when tears broke out under the popular TV show 2. He watches it himself and thinks it was important to demonstrate that crying can be nice.

– I feel that those who come have become more familiar with me as an artist in the sense that they have come to know me as a person.

Maintains courage

Like most Music Norway artists, Holsten is influenced by the crown crisis and had to postpone his spring tour this fall. The EP release didn’t go as planned either, but the 26-year-old is still in a good mood.

– It’s something I’m not trying to think about that much. It is something that we are going to overcome, and I am trying to be positive. New music is something that really motivates me, and motivates others to stop, so we get rid of that shit here, he says.

Along with artist Frida Ånnevik, who was also seen in the same season of “Every Time We Meet,” she did a Norwegian version of the song “If The World Was Ending”.

– Fortunately, it is time to stream and play music. Everyone in the industry can adapt to the situation in some way. It is a way to activate and maintain creativity and courage, he says.
