Caroline Berg Eriksen’s dogs, also known as “Football Lady,” passed away, she writes on Instagram Friday afternoon.

“Rest in peace, Hugo and Ronaldo,” he wrote in a post on Instagram.

Eriksen takes the death of dogs with great sadness.

“This is so indescribably painful that I wonder if my heart will feel full again,” he writes, after sharing stories about dog disease in recent days. It does not appear in the post how the dogs died.

On Friday, he posted on Instagram several photos and memories of his time with the dogs, which had the names of Ronaldo and Hugo. They were the all-time pair of radars, Eriksen slices in the mail.

“It was probably not a coincidence that you were allowed to fall asleep together. You belong together,” he writes.

Hugo the dog who has been by Eriksen’s side for 14 years.

“Imagine that you and I are alone in a small apartment in Oslo,” he writes in the publication.

“You knew me so well, you always listened to me, you always understood when I needed comforting, and you licked my tears when I cried, even today.”

In the comment field, warm messages are coming through.

Sophie Elise is one of those who send a greeting to Eriksen after announcing the sad news.

“It was very sad. A big hug to all,” he writes in the comments field.

Eriksen has not responded to VG’s inquiry.
