Carl I. Hagen was shipwrecked in Oslo – NRK Oslo and Viken – Local news, TV and radio

– I’m amazed and a little sad at heart, says Carl I. Hagen to NRK.

– But then it is clear that the nominating committee does not want its former president to be in third place. Or a possible majority; I do not know if it is a majority and a minority.

– How did you react when you found out?

– I was surprised, says Hagen.

Third and out

The former party chairman was nominated as number three in the first draft of the list for parliamentary elections in Oslo. Party leader Siv Jensen and parliamentary representative Christian Tybring-Gjedde took the top two spots.

They still do, but Carl I. Hagen stands out with his absence from the list.

– We have proposed Aina Stenersen in her place, says nominating committee chair Peter N. Myhre.

Aina Stenersen (37) is the leader of the health and social committee in the Oslo City Council.

Beyond that, Myhre will not comment on the accident. Nor is it to say whether it is related to the fact that Hagen has been nominated for first place in Oppland in the meantime.

Believed in thanks

Hagen himself says he wants to be on the list in both counties.

– I have always said that I will try to fight so that we have three in Oslo and one in Oppland. Because those over 50 might want to vote for Carl I. Hagen, as they have before.

– I thought you would receive it with great appreciation.

He does not rule out running for office at the December 5 nomination meeting.

– I will assess the situation carefully with someone I consult, says Carl I. Hagen.
