Rapper Cardi B (28) is no stranger to being on her feet in bad weather. There has been a fierce storm surrounding the rapper in recent years as her career has exploded.
The 28-year-old is well known for hitting back when she feels unnecessarily criticized, but she also has a habit of lying down and admitting her mistakes, when she herself thinks she’s in his place.

Strong criticism
In the magazine, she was photographed as the Hindu goddess Durga, something for which she quickly got her to sign her passport. According to SNL, Durga is one of the great goddesses of Hinduism, and she is portrayed as a beautiful and strong woman.
“People say that Cardi B pays homage to our goddess Durga, so as a Hindu I would say: 1. It is forbidden to wear shoes in a temple. Durga should not be worn for aesthetics. 3. Durga is NEVER shown dressed in light clothing. 4. This is not a tribute, it is disrespectful, ”writes a very disgruntled user on Twitter, according to Us Weekly.
He has encountered a massive problem after the underwear massacre.
“Obviously this is Cardi B ‘paying homage’ to Hindu goddess Durga … This is just racist,” writes another, according to People.
“Cardi B does not pay homage to Goddess Durga by holding a shoe in her hand, this is pure disrespect and in no way a cultural understanding. She cannot get away with it without addressing it and apologizing for bullying our culture,” he writes a third.
The “WAP” rapper came out like this with a public apology on Instagram this week. She did it in the form of a video, in which she promises to be more careful next time.

Later in the clip, the 28-year-old explains that the brains behind the campaign wanted her to portray a goddess who represented strength, femininity and liberation. However, the rapper admits that she understands why it went wrong.
– I didn’t try to be disrespectful. Maybe you should do more research. Sorry I can’t change the past, but I will do better in the future.

However, it is not just the 28-year-old who has come out to complain after the storm of complaints. Footwear News, which released the photos, also issued a public statement.
– One of the images was intended to pay tribute to the goddess Durga, and the intention was to show a strong woman. However, we realize that we do not take into account certain cultural and religious perspectives, and that this can be perceived as highly offensive, they write, adding that they have learned from this and that they posted new photos in front of the campaign.

This isn’t the first time that the 28-year-old outspoken has found himself in the middle of a storm of grievances over cultural appropriation.
This fall, the rapper released the song “WAP”, along with rapper Megan Tree Stallion. At the time, however, the criticism was not directed at Cardi B, but at reality star Kylie Jenner (23), who also appeared in the music video.
