A car that has ended up on the train track right next to Skøyen station in Oslo is now causing significant delays in train traffic in the Oslo area.

Police write on Twitter that a car with passengers, but without a driver, went through a barrier and left between the train tracks. There was a child in the car, who shouldn’t be hurt.

The car has now been removed from the tracks.

Vy encourages travelers to seek alternative ways to get home from work.

– There seems to be a lot of scenarios throughout the afternoon. We’re talking about the Ruter buses, says communications manager Gina Scholz at Vy to Aftenposten.

The first priority for Vy at the moment is to provide buses for train commuters to Bergen.

I hope it does not take long

– A car has hit the track. But there will be no injuries, says press officer Gunnar Børseth Bane NOR.

– Once the firefighters have removed the car, we must investigate the condition of the track. We have teams on the way to the site now. If there is extensive damage, it will take a long time, Børseth continues, but adds:

– The leader of the train was hoping that there were no major injuries and that the traffic would start again relatively quickly.

The airport train turns in Oslo S

Flytoget is also affected. Now trains turn at Oslo S. Passengers stopped at Skøyen station are transported by bus to Oslo S. While passengers waiting for the sky train at Nationaltheateret station must arrive at Oslo S.

So says COO Åsmund Stormo at Flytoget to Aftenposten.

The case is being updated.
