Four years after being relegated from the Obos league, Bryne is back in the second highest tier.
The Rogalendings only needed one point in Saturday’s home game against Sotra to secure promotion.
The hosts finally won 3-0 thanks to goals from Thierry Dabove, Robert Undheim and Pål Aamodt.
– It’s absolutely huge and it means a lot. It has been the club in my heart since 2014, so it is absolutely huge. I don’t really know what to say. “I’m completely done,” striker Robert Undheim tells TV 2.
– It was delicious. The premise was good, but it’s still a jitter. But the 3-0 and without setbacks is delicious. There are also many here who deserve it. Everything from the Red Cross, chairman of the board and audience. It’s a joyous day at Bryne, says Captain Rogvi Baldvinsson.
– Working to hold back the tears
After several years in the lower divisions, those present, under strict crown rules, were finally able to put aside the jubilation.
– I work to hold back tears. It could easily have brought out some tears of joy, but now we will let it be happiness and just that. It’s absolutely fantastic to go back to Obos, Bryne follower Ole Morten Hobberstad tells TV 2.
Bryne to Obos. The year of Jæren. Top 3 for me: 1) @rogvi_baldvins 2) Braut 3) Sølve Grotmol.

For 45 years in a row, Bryne had competed at one of Norway’s top two tiers, before descending in 2016.
– This was extremely delicious. He doesn’t often score goals, so he’s very good. I couldn’t even celebrate 3-0 because I was so tired, says Bryne player Pål Aamodt.
Bryne is also Erling Braut Haaland’s kids club. The Borussia Dortmund forward was replaced when Bryne was relegated in 2016.
On Saturday night he and his Dortmund will be visited by Bayern Munich in the derby that bears the name “Der Klassiker”.
