Aliou Coly saved on the line with his hand. TV 2 expert Jesper Mathisen is stunned by what he later perceives as uncomfortable protests from Brann.

KRISTIANSUND – BRANN 1-1:

It ended 1-1 between Kristiansund and Brann on Sunday night, but towards the end of the match, the guests felt cheated by a penalty.

Daouda Bamba put the ball in a good position inside the area and shot. The end, however, was saved on the line by Captain Aliou Coly.

Huseklepp: – Scandal

However, the television replay showed that the Kristiansund player used his hand to stop the shot at Bamba, but referee Espen Eskås did not understand.

The situation was hotly debated by experts in TV 2’s FotballXtra studio.

– It is a scandal that it is not judged there, said Erik Huseklepp.

– It’s a huge hand, said the former Brann player.

He was supported by fellow expert Jesper Mathisen.

– He’s a goalkeeper. It’s a penalty and a red card, Mathisen said.

– It’s completely wild. Where is the assistant referee then? He fell asleep? Has he gone home? Didn’t join the plane? He’s on the right side and has great insight, or a view, or call the situation whatever you want. And none of them can see it. Coly jumps and the ball goes straight to his left hand, continues.

Amazed mathisen

The TV 2 expert was also surprised by the few protests from Branns players.

– They have to protest much more. Look how uncomfortable Bamba protests. They really have to prove to the judge that he is completely on the ground here. Fire players must protest in a completely different way. There’s a soft little arm in the air and yes I think it was on the arm. No, it was on the arm. They should have penalties and he should have a red card.

The episode happened just over ten minutes before the end. By then, Amahl Pellegrino had passed the hosts, while Bamba had equaled Brann.

The first goal came in 63 minutes. Sondre Sørli was played by Olaus Skarsem and brought down by goalkeeper Håkon Opdal. From the chalk mark, top scorer Pellegrino was confident and sent the hosts to the lead.

The tie came at 72 minutes. Petter Strand and Robert Taylor combined well, before the latter came to an end. Goalie Sean McDermott turned around and Bamba was traded at the net.
