Switchboard 110 reported a fire on a “barracks platform” in Fjellsdalen in Bønes at two o’clock on New Year’s Day.

The fire brigade will now tear down parts of the structure for inspection.

– Now we are opening up to check for embers inside the wall, says service officer Bjørn Næs in the fire service.

An ambulance was also dispatched to the scene, as several people have ingested a lot of smoke.

– They are people who have tried to put out the fire. We don’t know if there are people in the building, says Skei.
