On Saturday night, VG announced that Turkish club Kayserispor had submitted a 25 million offer for the Glimt profile. On Sunday, he was observed at the Bodø airport. For a few hours he spoke to Eurosport at Gardermoen:

– This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for me. Of course I hope it turns out well, and I almost hope so, said the Dane, who scored 27 goals in 25 games for Glimt in 2020.

On Sunday evening, Bodø / Glimt writes in a press release that there will be no transition, reproduced by Avisa Nordland:

The offer that came from the club was at a satisfactory financial level, but a transition agreement must also have a content and structure that the club can accept. In particular, this applies to sufficient assurance that the transfer fee is paid and that the transfer follows a known and normal structure.

The club declares that it has had bad experiences in similar transitions during the last five years and that it needs it insured with the necessary guarantees.

– Of course, we are disappointed that it was not possible to get a transition in place within the time available, and especially because the financial framework was satisfactory, and that was something that Kasper himself wanted, says Glimt CEO Frode Thomassen . .

VG has been unable to get a comment from Kasper Junker.

Junker addressed VG earlier this week and criticized Bodø / Glimt for turning down an offer from the Italian Serie A club Crotone.

Kasper Junker frustrated: – Flashes don’t deliver on promise

– The agreement was that I would come to Bodø, take out my potential and then move on. They said that “if he scores 20 goals, we will fire him.” I scored 27 goals. It was because of that promise that I found Glimt interesting. I was gonna go up, deliver, boom, then it’s on. It has been almost all my motivation to do it so well. Now I’m thinking ‘damn how can I motivate myself for next season if it’s just empty words?’ Junker told VG.

Crotone withdrew its stake in Junker after Bodø / Glimt allegedly rejected at least three offers where the total limit was around NOK 15 million.

The international transfer window closes on Monday night.

VG updates the case.
