The 55-year-old defendant began her own explanation Tuesday about the couple’s first home-related incident on December 6, 2018. When Tor Mikke Wara got up in the morning, he discovered that someone had marked a swastika on the car and written on the wall. It said “racist” and on the car was written “racist.”

In court, Bertheussen said it was Wara who woke her up in the morning. Contrary to popular belief, he insisted that she get up and watch.

– He said someone has drawn a swastika on the car. I said: There is no swastika. I was knocked unconscious, Bertheussen said when asked by prosecutor Frederik Ranke.

Bertheussen is accused of attacking democracy through arson, damage and threats against prominent politicians, including his partner who was Minister of Justice when the incidents took place in the winter and spring of 2018/2019. The indictment covers a total of 15 counts, but Bertheussen has denied criminal guilt on all counts.

The prosecution believes that Bertheussen staged all the incidents in the prosecution as a form of reaction to the play “Ways of Seeing”, which was performed at Black Box Teater in the fall of 2018, and where photographs of the couple’s home were used. .
