After several weeks of warm weather and the feeling that summer is just around the corner, we must now prepare for a completely different type of weather. From night to Sunday there can be snow in various parts of the country.
– The probability is great. It is not much, it measures between seven and ten centimeters, but we ask people to be careful when they go out with the car, says the attentive meteorologist Hanne Beate Skattør at the Dagbladet Meteorological Institute.
Snow weather, on the other hand, will not last long and will likely disappear in the morning. However, there is no hope of a return of the summer weather in the near future.
– It seems to be quite cold during the week. It is relatively cold and we can have freezing nights. The temperature during the day will be around ten to fifteen degrees, says Skattør.

“Costume weather” on May 17
Cold weather, on the other hand, should be a bit better at the beginning of the weekend, but a bit of heat on May 17 will not.
– I think it may be a good May 17 for bunad, but it’s still too early to say, says Skattør.
She says it is also too early to say when summer will come.
– There will be a little more elastic weather ahead. But if there’s one thing we know, it’s that summer is coming, says Skattør.
Coming from the north
There is a front area with some rain, which is the reason for the snow. Cold air also comes from this frontal area.
The cold air is north of us.
A moderate snow hazard warning was issued in western Norway and in Trøndelag from Sunday morning. The same applies to southern and eastern countries.
