The presidencies of the two municipalities adopted new crown measures on Monday afternoon.

They differ from the measures that apply in Oslo from Tuesday.

Bærum doesn’t do like Oslo

– We have taken the measures in Oslo as our starting point, while at the same time, in accordance with the guidelines of the government and the health authorities, we will base our situation on local infection. This means that the Bærum measurements in several areas differ somewhat from those of Oslo.

Here’s what Mayor Lisbeth Hammer Krog (H) says, according to a press release.

Swimming pools, gyms and museums may still be open in the municipality. Mandatory bandages are applied indoors in all public places, including gyms.

There will also be no prohibition on serving alcohol.

The municipal chief doctor Frantz Leonard Nilsen wanted, among other things, to close the gyms.

The Norwegian Health Directorate also recommended Bærum to continue to Oslo. He did not support City Manager Geir B. Aga.

– However, the development of the infection is also very worrying at the local level. In some areas, even stronger measures are seen to be needed in Bærum than in Oslo, he said before treatment.

Bærum’s measures include a ban on organized training and other leisure activities for adults.

The measures apply from Tuesday, November 10.

Own measurements in Asker

The municipality of Asker also chooses to implement its own measures.

Among other things, a full bar stop will not be entered.

Here, too, the gym may still be open, but you must wear a bandage.

– The regulation we are introducing now is identical to that of the Bærum municipality. We do not carry out an equally complete “shutdown” of all activities in the society as proposed by Oslo, but we believe that it is important that everyone is coordinated on the requirements for the use of face masks, and now this is the same throughout the region .

Writes Mayor Lene Conradi (H) in a press release.

Conradi says that they will evaluate the infection situation in the municipality on an ongoing basis.

The measures apply from Tuesday, November 10.

Gyms reopen

The gyms in Asker and Bærum do not close, unlike in Oslo.

Høie: – Not as I have animated

The government has been aware that the strict measures of the crown in Oslo will have the best effect if the municipalities around Oslo adopt the same rules.

Neither Asker nor Bærum have restricted alcohol service or closed pools and gyms.

Health Minister Bent Høie says he has not been familiar with all of the Asker and Bærum decisions.

– In general, they seem to follow Oslo, although it is not identical to what I have animated. We will evaluate the general panorama of coordination between municipalities when all municipalities in the area have made their decisions.

Høie writes an SMS to NRK.

Several municipalities follow Oslo

However, the neighboring municipalities of Oslo, Nordre Follo and Lillestrøm, are on the same crown line as the capital.

It was decided by the presidencies of the municipalities on Monday afternoon.

– It makes more sense to introduce the same measures as other municipalities in and around Oslo. The measures are very intrusive, but unfortunately they are also absolutely necessary, said FRP policymaker Anette Elseth at the meeting, according to Romerikes Blad.

At Nordre Follo, with some exceptions, all indoor events are canceled.

– There are specific situations of infection in gyms and sports. I understand that this may seem unreasonable, but we know that there is a spread of infection in these areas.

Here’s what municipal chief physician Kerstin Anine Johnsen Myhrvold says, according to Oavis.no.

Unheard of bar in Oslo

Oslo will introduce a full bar stop starting Tuesday. The municipalities of Asker and Bærum do not do that.
