In the fall, a Norwegian artist in his 20s is due to meet with the Oslo District Court for assaulting and beating a NRK employee in his 40s outside the NRK facility in Marienlyst.
The episode of violence took place outside NRK at Marienlyst in Oslo on the night of Friday, January 24 of this year. The indictment emphasizes that the bodily injury is serious, especially because it caused significant or incurable harm to the NRK employee.
When the indictment was filed in late April, the NRK employee was still on sick leave. The indictment also notes that the incident occurred without cause and was characterized by assault.
“We consider the episode to be very serious, and NRK reported the matter to the police,” NRK organizing director Olav Hypher told Dagbladet in late April.
The artist’s advocate, attorney Benedikte Johansen, tells NTB that she has no comment on the case.
The trial is scheduled for trial in the Oslo District Court on September 10. The court has reserved two days for the case.
