Arne Viste’s replacement company, Plog AS, is bankrupt – E24

Talk about strong emotional reactions to bankruptcy.

– I feel like this is a desperate situation. There are supporters who will pray for the project and help me find the way forward. Then time will tell what we can achieve, says Viste.

Last fall, Arne Viste was sentenced in the Oslo District Court to one year of probation for employing asylum seekers without legal residence in Norway. The temp agency was also ordered to pay a fine of NOK 1.5 million and confiscate NOK 1.4 million.

In February, Viste’s appeal was rejected before the Borgarting Court of Appeal, and in May the Supreme Court rejected his appeal.

In the statement about the bankruptcy on Facebook, Viste writes, among other things, that there are 15 people who were affected this week, without any safety net from Nav.

Furthermore, he writes that bankruptcy was inevitable after the company lost liquidity after the appeal to the Supreme Court was rejected in May and the fine and confiscation of NOK 2.9 million came into effect.

– I was hoping that the district court would postpone the bankruptcy until the tax authorities had rectified the serious tax errors against our employees. But sadly, the district court would not, he writes.
