Television chef Arne Jermstad, known for the Norwegian TV program “Happy Kitchen”, has passed away. He turned 71.

In an interview with DinSide in 2001, the TV chef spoke candidly about how he changed his diet and lost 17 kilos. The year before, Jermstad, who was a type 2 diabetic, weighed more than 100 kilos.

As a result, he had very high blood pressure and used five insulin syringes a day. Jermstad decided to act by changing her diet and starting with daily walks.

With the help of Fedon A. Lindberg, who at the time introduced him to a new diet, he lost weight and no longer needed insulin injections.

– I am still completely amazed at how the change in diet has changed my quality of life. When I started changing my diet, I was also able to adjust the amount of insulin. In the end, I was able to cut the insulin syringes completely, he said at the time.

The TV chef also said that her eyesight had improved and her blood pressure was approaching normal.

Remember the chef from TV

According to VG, the TV chef leaves behind three children and two extra children. The funeral will take place next Wednesday at Onsøy Church in Fredrikstad.

For the newspaper, program director E claim Landsverk of Discovery Networks Norway, owner of TV Norway, describes the late TV chef as a knowledgeable and experienced chef, who mastered the transmission of joy and knowledge of food with humor and warmth.
