– The person who called us had met this person inside the building. He must have been aggressive and threatening, says Lars Hyberg, operations manager at the Agder police district.

The police received the report at 1:21 p.m.

Shortly before 2.30 pm, Hyberg informs NRK that the person who threatened with a knife has been arrested.

No one should be hurt.

Question witnesses

– The alleged perpetrator has been arrested and transferred to the police station. He will eventually be questioned when we get a little more overview of the course of events, says Hyberg.

The police asked the residents of the block to leave their apartments while they searched for the person with the knife.

There are three police cars and an ambulance at the scene.

Hyberg claims they are now working tactically on the site.

– We question witnesses who have been in the building and can provide us with information.

Do you have information that other people may have been harmed by the person?

– No, no one appears to be injured at the scene right now, says Hyberg.
