The Hagen couple’s friends and family were also asked about their expenses and other financial matters in the interrogation.

Earlier this week, Kapital announced that Tom Hagen is worth two billion crowns and therefore the 169th richest man in Norway.

He is still charged with the murder or complicity in this of his missing wife Anne-Elisabeth Hagen.

She has been missing without a trace since October 31, 2018 and the police are still working hard to solve the mystery.

One of the police theories is that there must be an economic motive behind the disappearance. The online newspaper has previously mentioned that Tom Hagen has been questioned about the marriage pact.

Here you can read more about the disappearance case in Lørenskog.

– Totally uninterested in money and wealth.

The online newspaper can now reveal previously unknown details of Tom Hagen’s police statements. At the beginning of 2019, he was under further interrogation and at this time still had offended status in the case.

Here he explained that Anne-Elisabeth was not interested in stalking. She further explained that this was “the worst she knew.”

Tom Hagen also explained that she was “totally uninterested in money and wealth,” nor was she interested in how rich other people were.

The online newspaper knows that researchers have discussed what may be the reason why Tom Hagen has said this. Among other things, it has been an issue that has provided the information to focus on others, even though he was not charged in the case at this time.

Anne-Elisabeth’s interest in money has also been asked in interviews with family, close friends and business associates.

They have also been asked about the Hagen couple’s financial habits and other financial matters.

The police are very reluctant to say anything about the information.

– The police cannot comment on what comes up in various interrogations, it is a matter between the police and the person being questioned, writes police inspector Agnes Beate Hemiø in an email to Nettavisen, mediated by communications consultant Marianne Nordengen.

– The defendant’s explanation is a key piece of evidence in most criminal cases, this also applies here.

The online newspaper is also informed that Tom Hagen has been asked in detail about the use of both his and Anne-Elisabeth’s money.

Tom Hagen’s defense attorney, attorney Svein Holden, does not want to comment on the case.

Signed separation papers found

The online newspaper is aware that some of the police lawyers have reacted to the fact that the distribution of the marriage contract has been so skewed. According to the information VG has, several of the police lawyers must have believed that the marriage contract was so unreasonable that if it had been taken to court it could have been declared invalid.

VG has previously mentioned the news that separation papers signed by Anne-Elisabeth were found. According to the newspaper, they dated for several years before she disappeared. The finding is said to have been characterized as important to the researchers because the separation papers corroborate information that they had only had oral sources for.

The online newspaper also previously mentioned that the marriage has been turbulent at times and that their part of the house was returned as separate property from Tom Hagen, which is set out in the marriage covenant.

Star attorney Mette Yvonne Larsen testified in April that she believes Tom Hagen would have been skinned in court if Anne-Elisabeth had challenged the marriage contract in a divorce. NRK has speculated that it could amount to several hundred million crowns.

According to Kapital, Tom Hagen should be good for September 2020 for two billion crowns. When Anne-Elisabeth Hagen disappeared on October 31, 2018, she was said to be worth NOK 1.7 billion.

The latest tax figures available for Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, from 2018, show a taxable income of 273,000 crowns and a fortune of 172,000.

Negotiated on offer

Hagen has been asked about the marriage covenant both with offended status in the case and after he was arrested and given accused status.

– In our opinion, it is very natural that the marriage contract has been questioned, both when it was offended and accused. It is a case involving a spouse who is missing and the remainder is charged with murder or complicity in murder, former prosecutor in the case, Haris Hrenovica, told Nettavisen earlier this year.

The couple married in October 1969 and Tom Hagen, in questioning, explained that it was fate that brought them together.

Several people in the Hagen couple’s circle tell Nettavisen that Anne-Elisabeth has never spoken, or only very little, about the family’s wealth. The online newspaper is also told that she rarely bought expensive things and her friends must have also noticed that Anne-Elisabeth often looked for special offers when shopping at the Metro Center shopping mall, which is one kilometer from the house on Sloraveien 4 .

– I have never experienced that she was interested in other people’s money or worried about Tom Hagen’s wealth. I knew her as a sober, down-to-earth lady, says an old friend of Nettavisen.

Police still believe that the Hagen couple’s home at Sloraveien 4 in Lørenskog is the scene of the murder. The police have recently completed investigative work on the home. Earlier this summer, Nettavisen was able to report, among other things, that the surveys that were to be conducted were:

  • Footwear footprint test.
  • Testing of different types of liquid.
  • Soil investigations.

In addition, Nettavisen was informed that the police were going to conduct further investigations of telephone movements on Anne-Elisabeth’s phone, in addition to new sound tests inside the house.

Last week it became known that the police completed the investigations.

– The investigations can help shed light on what happened to Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, writes Hemiø in the email.
