It seems to be a busy “Deadline Day” for Torgeir Bjarmann and Stabæk. Hugo Vetlesen (20) has signed a three-year contract with Bodø / Glimt.

– I really wanted to play for Bodø / Glimt, especially now that it has gone so well and the history they have had in developing young players. It’s gotten a bit stuck in Stabæk in recent seasons, so this was an opportunity I couldn’t say no to, Vetlesen tells TV 2.

VG was in contact with Stabæk Sporting Director Torgeir Bjarmann today.

– It’s really in Hugo’s hands. We are in dialogue, so we will see. He has been allowed to travel, Torgeir Bjarmann said of Vetlesen’s visit to the north.

It seems to be a busy day at the office for Stabæk’s sports manager. Multiple players may be exiting, while confirming that one is ready and several may be entering.

At the same time, not all news is equally well received. After the club posted a photo of the 52-year-old in the office, several Stabæk supporters expressed concern that Hugo Vetlesen would travel to a Norwegian rival.

– We’ll have to take him when he arrives. In general, it is never popular to sell your own pet eggs. He’s the second to go inland this year (after Ola Brynhildsen, editor’s note), so to speak. But there are many reasons why it happens, Bjarmann said.

Bjarmann himself used his own Twitter account to respond to concerns. There he wrote that “of course no one wants to sell internally in Norway if it can be avoided.”

At the same time, he pointed out factors such as the length of the contract, development, playing time, finances and the wishes of the player.

At the same time, Andreas Hanche-Olsen moves away from Stabæk. The midfielder is in Belgium to complete a transfer. There he is said to have visited Standard Liège and Ghent, something Eurosport has mentioned before.

Budstikka writes that Hanche-Olsen has decided for Ghent and is in a medical examination there.

– Everything indicates that you have reached the goal. Nothing is officially clear. He’s probably getting close to something. I don’t think he will come home and play for us at least, says Bjarmann.

A replacement is ready. Sturla Ottesen, 19, who was named PostNord League Talent of the Year last year, has been brought in from Kjelsås.

– We know him well from before, so it was a good idea to bring him now. Back in the club team and midfielder in the national team, then we will see how it ends. It is both a short-term and a long-term plan.

At the same time, Belgian Daryl Werker, 26, is on the scene to be considered as a possible replacement for Hanche-Olsen.

The former Roda player is currently out of a club and in quarantine, but will run a physical test before Stabæk assesses what he’ll do next.

– Nothing happens today. He is a free player, so he is more in a physical test. You are not allowed to train with the team due to quarantine.

It was Budstikka who first mentioned that the Belgian could replace Hanche-Olsen.

– Free players who have not played matches for a long time must be tested, then we will evaluate accordingly.

Later, Stabæk also brought in Gustav Valsvik on loan from Rosenborg.
