Americans are encouraged to stay home, but the White House is planning a celebration

A few days after Americans celebrate Thanksgiving, the White House has an indoor reception scheduled, according to the Reuters news agency.

At the same time, Americans have received a clear message from the country’s health authorities, advising them to refrain from traveling in connection with the holiday.

– The CDC advises against traveling during the Thanksgiving period. It’s not a requirement, it’s a strong recommendation, Dr. Henry Walke of the US infection control center CDC told reporters on Thursday.

However, First Lady Melania Trump will hold a reception, according to an invitation received by the ABC News channel. The White House so far has not ruled on the case.

“We want everyone to understand that these parties can be high-profile events,” US Health Director Jerome Adams said in an interview with ABC News.

He encouraged everyone to celebrate outdoors, with as few people as possible. Adams also referenced the CDC guidelines.

“These apply to the White House, they apply to the American people, they apply to everyone,” he said.

The United States is approaching 200,000 coronary heart diseases a day, and in early November a record number of coronary heart disease patients were admitted to American hospitals. More than 12 million Americans have been diagnosed so far, and more than 256,000 have lost their lives, according to the Johns Hopkins University survey.

Infection control expert Anthony Facui is concerned that too many Thanksgiving travel activities will lead to dangerous spread of the infection.

As infection rates continue to rise, various members of the Trump administration have opposed new recommendations to limit infection, according to ABC News. Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany has described several of the restrictions as “Orwellian”, referring to George Orwell’s future dystopian novel.

It’s about freedom, McEnany said in an interview.

Outbreak

McEnany is one of several members of the White House administration or staff who have so far been diagnosed with coronary heart disease. Both President Donald Trump and Melania Trump have the same.

In October, at least five people on Vice President Mike Pence’s staff were diagnosed with the virus, according to CNN. Several cases of infection were also confirmed after a ceremony in Rosehagen in September when Amy Coney Barrett was nominated as the new Supreme Court Justice. Several of those present were photographed shaking hands and hugging, many of them without masks or masks.

Cross in bad weather

Texas Senator Ted Cruz has been gaining ground on social media recently, after sharing a cartoon of a turkey with the text “come and get it.”

It is interpreted as an indication that the senator will not change his plans for Thanksgiving, despite the clear advice of health authorities and that the state of origin has been badly affected by the pandemic. In the city of El Paso, they have brought in the National Guard to help deal with the corona deaths, writes Business Insider, among others.

In the city of Dallas, several thousand people lined their cars last week to receive food, CNN reported. Around 25,000 received food, and a spokesperson says the need has certainly increased during the pandemic.

Texas was the first state to approve a million confirmed cases in total just over two weeks ago.
