About 2,700 customers of the Elvia power company are without power due to strong winds and falling trees.

Otherwise, few problems have been created in the country, despite adequate thunderstorms in several places.

Various incidents in traffic

In Trøndelag, several storm hazard warnings were sent out, but the night has not caused any major problems.

– We have had no weather-related assignments, Operations Manager Wenche Johnsen tells NTB.

Nordland police say the same thing when NTB calls Thursday morning.

– Last night we had patrols on the highways throughout the county and there was nothing to say about the weather.

In Møre og Romsdal, there were several weather-related traffic incidents on Wednesday night, but the NTB reports that it calmed down overnight.

No drama

In the West Police District, Operations Director Tatjana Knappen tells NTB that the night has passed without drama.

– It hasn’t been that long. No property damage was reported. Some trees on the road in a couple of places are the most dramatic, says Knappen at 6 o’clock on Thursday.

But the storm causes the cancellation of some ferry departures. According to the road traffic control center, this applies to Sandvikvåg-Halhjem (E39), Buavåg-Langevåg (FV 541), Leirvåg – Sløvåg (FV 57) and Fedje – Sævrøy (FV 568), while there are significant delays on section 54 Sandvikvåg-Husavik) (FV 57).
