“Allen v Farrow” is a misleading title. Woody Allen does not speak.

This is not just a murder of Woody Allen’s character, but an attempt to discredit his cinematic universe. The creators of the series succeed best with the first.

It’s always heartbreaking to experience children becoming helpless pieces in a brutal battle between two irreconcilable parents. In this documentary series, another complicating factor is added. We have to question what the children say and do, because one of the parties, Woody Allen, does not speak. Allen vs. Farrow therefore, it becomes a misleading title.

The filmmakers here commit character murder. I doubt that Allen’s already worn reputation will survive. There really isn’t much news to come to light in the long-running feud between Allen and Mia Farrow and the allegations that the filmmaker abused his daughter Dylan.
