According to the police, the boy was hooked to a wire, was lifted in the air and then fell.
The accident occurred at the Rauland Ski Center in the Vinje Township in Telemark.
The boy, an eight-year-old boy, has been sent to Ullevål hospital.
Operations manager Marianne Mørch in the Southeastern Police District tells NRK that the boy should not be in danger of death, but health personnel at the scene rate the injuries as serious.
– We are now conducting investigations and questioning witnesses, says Mørch.

The people who saw the incident immediately ran towards the boy. Others drove to the back of the facility to ask for help.
