At 12:20 pm, the eastern police reported a car-truck encounter accident at Askim in Viken.
– It may indicate that a car has tried to turn but crossed into the approaching lane and hit a truck, Operations Manager Gisle Sveen said.
The operations manager described the accident as serious.

– The woman died on the way to the hospital in the ambulance. Attempts were made to save the heart and lungs, but the life could not be saved, Sveen says.
Police say the woman’s relatives have been notified.
The woman was alone in the car. The truck driver was not injured.
The way is open
There was significant property damage at the site.
– The road is completely closed in place and will be for some time. We are working together with Vegtrafikksentralen to possibly spell a detour, Sveen said.
At 3:43 p.m., the police report that the road has been reopened.
