A woman in her 70s died after ending up under a car in Holmestrand.
– She is an old lady who has ended up under a car. We don’t know exactly how this happened, Southeastern Police District Operations Manager Jan Kristian Johnsrud told Nettavisen a little after 08.30.
At 10.11 am, the police confirm that the woman in her 70s died. A man in his 70s is a suspect. Family members have been notified.
Johnsrud said Monday morning that they did not know if the car had run over the woman or if she had been run over. The accident occurred inside a private courtyard.
– We work on site to investigate what has happened. The message to the emergency services was that one person had backed down. We have no further details on the course of the events, police reported on Twitter Monday morning.
