The positive test result was announced on Saturday morning.

The restaurant’s general manager, Lasse Juul Holm, says they have spent the entire day taking control of the situation.

– The infected waiter has four close contacts who also work with us. All are quarantined and examined during the day, he says.

The waitress was only working at the restaurant on Thursday of this week. During the day, around 100 guests visited the restaurant.

– Fortunately, we have the contact information of all the guests who have passed. We’ve encouraged them to get tested and be aware of the symptoms, says Holm.

Had no symptoms

According to Holm, the employee who was infected had no symptoms, but was tested because the person is in close contact with two other people who had been diagnosed with the infection.

– The waiter has not coughed or shown signs of other symptoms. The employee has been very good at following all the tips and rules about infection control, Holm says.

He says the situation is a good example of how difficult it is to deal with the infection when it does not appear.

– We really couldn’t do anything different, without symptoms it becomes very difficult to predict, he says.

Holm hopes that the work they have done to track down, as well as notify all guests, will limit the infection as much as possible.

– We spray the restaurant every morning and restart everything every day. People don’t have to be afraid to come to us, he says.

Erna Solberg: – The meter has become too short in Norway

– Disturbing situation

In the last 24 hours, 55 new cases have been registered in Oslo. Thus, so far this week a total of 245 cases have been registered. This worries the Norwegian Health Directorate.

Health Director Bjørn Guldvog is particularly concerned about the relationship of the citizens of Oslo with the distance rule.

– We see that people in Oslo are a little less concerned about that at the moment and may have dropped their shoulders too much, says Guldvog.

Figures from the Oslo municipality show that up to 40 percent of those now infected in the capital have an unknown source of infection.

– It is a somewhat disturbing situation, says Guldvog.

– Does that mean you are about to lose control in Oslo?

– This means that you lose the beginning of the infection chain. However, you can take the chain back and take control. But it takes longer and makes it harder to be in control, says Guldvog.

14 of the 15 districts of Oslo now have an infection situation, which means that they are above the so-called red level. On Friday, Councilman Raymond Johansen announced that there may be stricter measures in the capital.

– I have great faith that the Oslo municipality will be able to reduce the infection and control the situation, says Guldvog.
