– This year has been a very different party because Ari, the dear father of my three daughters, is no longer with us, he writes.

On Christmas Day 2019, word came that Ari Behn had taken his own life. He turned 47 years old.

– Today we celebrate his life, we cry for the loss and for how much we miss him, write more.

He also reaches out to anyone having a difficult vacation. In a year in which more people have had to celebrate differently because of coronary restrictions.

– I want to communicate with all of you who are struggling during the holidays. Know that you are loved. Know that someone needs you. Know that it is worth the help you can get. Please ask for help. Tell us how you feel. You are loved.

Märtha Louise’s eldest daughter, Maud Angelica, received a lot of attention for her speech at her father’s funeral.

– I was very scared. I really haven’t done much public speaking Before, I’m not used to it, but I was so sick that I was sure it was something I wanted to do, because it was very important for me to be able to give Dad a speech and tell him how much I appreciated him. Especially since I couldn’t tell him while he was alive. Then at least I would say have it later, says Maud Angélica in an interview with VG eleven months later.

For her outspokenness about mental illness and suicide, Maud Angelica was awarded the 2020 Acute Psychiatry Prize. By Tara magazine, the 17-year-old was named “Bravest Woman of the Year” and was among the nominees for Name of the year in VG.

– I did not expect it to be so large impact. I really, really appreciate it.
