I have a son
Now, almost two and a half years later, Melissa Rauch is unleashing her joy once again.
She recently became the mother of a boy named Brooks. She revealed that on Instagram to her more than two million followers on Monday.
“I am incredibly grateful and happy to announce the birth of our son, Brooks Rauch. He just came into the world and immediately won our hearts. “

I am extremely grateful and delighted to announce the birth of our son, Brooks Rauch, whom we have just welcomed into the world and directly into our hearts. His arrival was made possible, in large part, by the front-line heroes: the nurses and doctors who show up every day to make sure life continues to progress, regardless of the circumstances. Words cannot describe how grateful I am that this baby is joining our family, but to say this is a surreal time to bring life to the world is an understatement. In addition, the “Big Bang Theory” star thanks the doctors and nurses who work today and who are working despite the circumstances we all find ourselves in.
“Words cannot describe how grateful I am that this child is part of our family. And it’s an understatement to call it a surreal moment to bring new life to the world,” he writes.
In an article for Glamor magazine, the 39-year-old woman also talks about the fear of giving birth during the crown pandemic. Especially bad, she thought, was that her husband could not be present.
“The fear of giving birth without a support device and the concerns of entering the hospital during a pandemic was a lot to take in. So I tried to prepare myself as best I could for a scenario I had never imagined: filling the hospital bag with disinfecting wipes and practicing breathing with a mask as if I was training for a dystopian marathon, “he writes between the second Monday.
When labor started, whatever the main focus was on concentrating on getting the baby out.
“You don’t have time to think about the pandemic, the fear of being alone, or the mind of not having a partner who lights up in the ranks of hell.” He had a job to do. The nurses, doctors and my husband, who had to see the birth through FaceTime, made me feel safe anyway, ”she shares.
Eliminate with guilt
It was in 2016 that Rauch lost her unborn child. The miscarriage resulted in deep pain and depression.
“You don’t necessarily go to a funeral or take time off from work to cry, but that doesn’t change the fact that something valuable has been unexpectedly taken from your life,” he shared a year later, including that time in Glamor.
After the painful experience, the actor felt a constant fear that it would happen again.
“Spontaneous abortion deserves to be on the list of the worst medical terms in history, which also gives a great feeling of guilt. For me, I immediately felt it was my fault that I had somehow misled the baby,” she wrote in the Glamor article at the time.
Finally, Rauch and her husband discovered that it was useful to call it differently.
“At one point, my husband and I began to tell each other, without offending the baby so clearly, that the baby had stopped.”
