Janne and Morten separated in 2016, four years after they moved to Hollywood together. Many people probably remember Janne best from the time her husband was up to date with the movie “The Imitation Game,” which was nominated for multiple Oscar statuettes. She was always seen by her husband in red corridors, and was praised in the media for her glamorous style.

The couple seemed to be staying strong, but it shouldn’t last. In early March, when the director was working on “Defend Jacob,” he was told that his ex-wife had passed away. During the relationship, they reunited their son Benjamin (12). Also, Morten is the extra father to Jannes’ two daughters: Jeanette (30) and Karoline (25).
– It is horrible. It is undoubtedly sad that it happened, and it has been very difficult for Benjamin and for me and everyone involved, he says to Dagbladet, and continues:
– It is difficult when the people with whom you are still in a family struggle with dark thoughts. Of course, it is something that affects you and everyone around you. he explains.
A good part of the interview, which is not about Tyldum’s impressive career, is about mental health. From the first moment, the family chose to be open so that Janne had mental problems and that she finally killed herself.
Morten believes there is still a lot of shame on the subject, and believes that it is wise to be open, so that others do not have to feel alone. He says the shame many feel is that they don’t seek help. As was the case with his ex-wife.
– Unfortunately, Janne struggled for a longer period. She can be an example of how difficult it is for someone to get the help they need, even if they have resources, she explains.
After the success of “The Imitation Game”, the couple started the Nordic Code, which was completed last year. Since then, Tyldum has started the Anonymous Content Nordic company, which will develop Norwegian and Nordic content for the world.
Had to quarantine
Jannes’ daughter Jeanette also recently spoke about pain. He did this in an interview with “Goodnight Norway” on TV 2.
– It has been a roller coaster of emotions and, of course, very difficult. Fortunately, we had a couple of weeks after that happened where the rest of life was relatively “normal,” and we received many hugs and close contact with loved ones, she said in the interview.
The late Tyldum lived in California, USA. USA, so the family traveled there after his death. However, when they returned home, he was quarantined as a result of measures taken by Norwegian authorities to prevent transmission of the coronavirus.
– Home quarantine after an experience such as the type of trip we had has been heavy. It is difficult not to be with good friends and family, and that everything, from social gatherings, is canceled. I wish you could gather good friends and take a break from all that darkness, Tyldum told TV 2.
Janne Tyldum’s funeral took place at Frogner Church on April 2. TV 2 covered the funeral, which was attended by, among others, Mia Gundersen and Alexia Bohwim. For the channel, the latter said that what was missing was great after the girlfriend.
– Janne and I were love at first sight. She is the first lady I know who said what she wanted to say. He was smart as shit, capable of mass and loved to love. She was fucking loved, Bohwim said.
