Police were notified of the accident in Ulsteinvik in Sunnmøre at 00.39 on Sunday evening. There was reportedly talk of a collision between a motorcycle driver and a car driver.
Emergency services quickly reached the city and the air ambulance was called after a quarter of an hour. This lands shortly after one o’clock. Around 01.50, the injured man was transported to St. Olav Hospital in Trondheim by air ambulance.
The motorcycle rider, who is a teenager, must be seriously injured. According to the police, the person must have been thrown by the motorcycle in the collision.

The driver of the car is a man in his 20s, police told Sunnmørsposten on Sunday night. He should not have suffered physical injuries in the collision.
Technical investigations
The accident happened in Sjøgata, which is located in the center of Ulsteinvik. Forensic technicians from the police and accident group of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration worked last night in the city. These investigations were completed on Sunday morning.
