On Sunday morning, the national jump team arrived with a new message, after they announced Saturday that they would wake him from an artificial coma.
– Daniel’s situation is stable. The awakening process started yesterday, but it is a time-consuming process and must be tailored to individual and other treatment. Therefore, it is difficult to time awakening safely, just like medicine. Follow-up exams and treatment were performed yesterday to facilitate a good awakening. Clas Brede Bråthen is with Daniel in the hospital during the awakening process that is now underway. There is no drama associated with the process, says Team Hoppland team physician Guri Ranum Ekås in a press release Sunday morning.
The Hoppland team further writes that we will return with more information when it becomes available.
During Saturday’s race, the national team coach Alexander Stöckl reacted to the fact that Marius Lindvik had to go up and down the barrier six times:
Ugly fall
Tande suffered a broken collarbone and a punctured lung, but avoided head and neck injuries in a nasty fall during the test round on the ski slope in Planica on Thursday, and was placed in an artificial coma at the hospital in Ljubljana.
The 27-year-old flipped over the ball and hit the ground hard before rolling over the fugitive.
On Saturday it was announced that he would be awakened from an artificial coma, but updates were delayed.
Disappointing team competition
After the team competition on Sunday morning, national team coach Alexander Stöckl said it was a strain for him and that the team was waiting for news about Tande.
– We still hope for the best, said Stöckl on NRK.
It was a disappointing fifth place for Norway. An individual competition will also be held on Sunday, after Friday’s competition has not been held due to bad weather conditions.
