Two taken with drugs after hunting by car and on foot.
On Friday afternoon, UP stopped a car at Sentrumstangenten in Tromsø.
The reason was that he had tried to evade control.
The passenger got out of the car before UP directed him to stop it.
- Price: In an earlier version of this case, it was revealed that the person jumped after being instructed by police to stop. Subsequently, the police claimed that the passenger got out before a signal was given.
– He got out of the tunnel. One of the officers did the same and took control of him, says COO Jørgen Ahlquist in the Troms police district in Nordlys.
The driver entered the tunnel, UP behind.
– There he tried to escape by taking a couple of laps in the roundabout. But another car got in the way and stopped him.
The civilian car probably helped the police without knowing it.
Both the driver and the passenger were in possession of drugs.
– These were smaller amounts.
The driver was taken in for a blood test and a driver’s license was confiscated, the Troms police district reports.
Ahlquist says they don’t have a car chase speedometer.
– But he is also denounced for having evaded control.
