“The rebels were willing to kill any politician they got their hands on,” said prosecutor Stacey Plaskett during the trial of Donald Trump, who is accused of inciting his supporters to storm Congress on January 6.
During the second day of the Supreme Court case, the House impeachment team reviewed their arguments about why Trump should be convicted after impeachment.
“The evidence is overwhelming,” Eric Swalwell said during the prosecution’s presentation.

One of the more dramatic positions, held by Stacey Plaskett from the Virgin Islands. She is one of nine members of the House of Representatives who make up the prosecution team.

Journalists reported hearing rebels say they were looking for Pence to execute. Trump supporters had erected a gallows abroad, Plaskett said.

“You can hear the security alarm in the background and you can hear the mob yelling that the vice president of the United States must die,” Plaskett said.
Another video shows several insurgents yelling that Pence must be “taken out.”
– No wonder he became the target of his anger, after he refused to reject the election result, Plaskett continued.
It also showed videos of the rebels searching for Nancy Pelosi.
According to CNN, former Vice President Mike Pence is unlikely to comment on the videos that were shown in Congress today. According to channel sources, he has plans to stay low throughout the Supreme Court case.

During the trial, another clip was also shown, in which police officer Eugene Goodman runs past Utah Republican Senator Mitt Romney and causes him to turn around and run after him.
Later to ABC, Romney tells him that he did not know how close the rebels were, and that it was the first time he had seen the clip in question.
He says he didn’t realize it was Goodman who helped him get away and now wants to thank him.
– Obviously, it is very difficult to see the massive violence that the police and others are exposed to. It tears your heart out and brings tears to your eyes. It was overwhelmingly stressful and emotional, he says.
Romney was one of six Republican senators who voted with Democrats for the trial.
