A great gesture from two nurses at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois in the United States is acclaimed on Facebook.
Nurses Hannah Schlemer and Kim Presson decided to please the Martinez couple, as they were both in the same hospital while receiving treatment for the coronavirus.
They wanted to organize something special for the couple and the successful plan has attracted many on Facebook.
The infection subsides
Frank (93) and “Terry” (86) Martínez have been married for 63 years and are inseparable. However, due to the coronavirus, they have not seen each other for a long time, as they have been separated in the hospital.
I reunited the couple
There have also been strict rules for hospital visits for a long time due to the coronavirus, which has affected patients.
Therefore, nurses Kim and Hannah decided to seize the opportunity when it presented itself, as they both knew that two of their patients at the hospital were an elderly couple.
When some relatives of the Martinez couple said they were completely inseparable and very dependent on each other, their nurses decided to bring the couple together.
Thus, a dinner was organized where Frank and “Terry” could see each other, hold hands, and eat together. Something that they seem to appreciate a lot, when we look at the photo.
