Eleven Republicans voted to remove the controversial Marjorie Taylor Greene from their two committees in the United States Congress. Now they are demanding that more Democrats receive the same treatment.
Adam Kinzinger and Fred Upton were two of them. This was the second time in less than a month that they voted against their own party on a controversial issue. In mid-January, two in 10 Republicans voted to sue Donald Trump.
Additionally, Republicans Nicole Malliotakis, John Katko, Brian Fitzpatrick, Carlos Gimenez, Chris Jacobs, Young Kim, Maria Salazar, Chris Smith, and Mario Díaz-Balart voted for a united Democratic party. 199 Republicans voted against removing Taylor Greene, while one did not use his vote.

– Disturbing and extremely offensive
Greene is the businesswoman turned far-right political activist. The 46-year-old Republican is said to have supported the executions of top Democrats, supported the conspiracy theory known as QAnon, which claims that top Democrats like Hillary Clinton were involved in satanic pedophilia, and claimed that school shootings were staged.
– These were statements that belong to the past, and these things do not represent my values. They led me to believe things that were not true, I asked questions and talked about them. And I definitely regret this, Greene said before the vote.
But he did not apologize for the things he had said and expressed previously.
In an internal meeting with party colleagues on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, he is said to have apologized. However, 11 of the party’s 211 members elected to vote with Democrats in the House of Representatives on Thursday.

Eliminate more Democrats

Will unite the country
– Anti-Semitism, conspiracy theories and threats should never be part of our political courses. It should not be tolerated by either party. I came to Congress to focus on politics and the issues that can unite our country. The comments we’ve seen from Greene make that job difficult and aren’t something the Republican Party advocates, Young Kim says.
Like everyone else, he now asks Democrats to take a look at their own ranks.
– Our country must come together and work with a policy that helps the American people. The only way we can do great things is if we work together.
