Ørjan Håskjold Nyland has signed for the championship club Norwich. The goalkeeper has been without a club since last summer and arrives free in the Canary Islands. Nyland has signed a contract for the remainder of the season, Norwich writes on its website.

– There were several offers, but when Norwich entered the field I had no doubts. Now I feel like it’s the right thing to do for me, and I’ve had good conversations with both the coach and the goalkeeping coach, as well as the sporting director, so it was an easy choice.
Norwich manager Daniel Farke wanted to strengthen the goalkeeping position before the last half of the season.
– Ørjan has shown that he can play in both the Premier League and the Championship, as well as the Bundesliga. He’s also an experienced goalkeeper for the national team, Farke tells the club.
In Norwich, Nyland becomes a teammate of Alexander Tettey. Gets suit number 12.
The club is in first place in the championship with four points less than Swansea in second place.
He played for Aston Villa until this summer before his contract was terminated. In two seasons at the Birmingham club, there were 36 games.
