LAST: Overnight to Sunday, the police declare in a press release that the case is being investigated as an assassination attempt.
– It is currently being assessed that there has probably been talk of an object that could have caused an explosion, but more technical investigations will be drawn up, says Acting Police Inspector Peter Malmose.
Police believe it is too early to determine the motive, but the press release states that at the present time they cannot deny that it may have a connection to discrepancies in the rock and band scene.
A suspicious object was found on Saturday afternoon in the Gladsaxe municipality on the outskirts of Copenhagen.
Police were notified that a man was mounting something in his car, which could look like a bomb, writes the Danish newspaper BT.
Defense bomb squad is on site.
– The suspicious object on the Gyngemose park road has been shelled by the bomb squad, the police write on Twitter.
The video of the place shows a flash of light and a loud bang can be heard.
– Now we make sure that it is neutralized, so that the residents can return home soon, the police write.

The police have been at the scene for many hours and, among other things, they have had a drone in the air over the scene and a robot bomb was missing from the object.
– It’s a serious situation. Therefore, we have deployed a large number of evacuated police and citizens living near the site where the potential car bomb was found, Chief Inspector Knud Stadsgaard writes in a press release.
Several nearby houses were evacuated.

It is not yet clear why the possible bomb was deployed. It is also unclear who did it.
– The investigation will clarify who placed the possible explosive there, and therefore we encourage citizens who have seen something suspicious prior to the discovery, or who have other knowledge of the case, to contact the West Region police. Copenhagen, writes Stadsgaard.
Stadsgaard emphasizes that they are now in control of the situation.
