A snowstorm in Madrid has created chaos in the Spanish capital on Saturday.

The Barcelona women’s team was supposed to face Madrid, but due to the snow chaos, the match has been canceled. That message arrived on Friday night.

By then, however, Barcelona was already in place with Norway’s star Caroline Graham Hansen and the rest of the team.

Graham Hansen is now furious against the Spanish Football Association because the match was not canceled earlier.

– As a Norwegian, I cannot understand how the Spanish association felt it was safe to send a team up the mountain when the weather forecast shows a level of yellow and orange danger due to the storm passing through central Spain, writes the Barcelona player in Social networks.

– It is blind to ignore our danger to life, just to be able to play a game today. That match would be unplayable due to the amount of snow that has fallen overnight, he continues.

Graham Hansen thinks he couldn’t see that it would be possible to remove all the snow from a track without underheating in time for martial arts.

– Please start communicating with us as equals and not inferiors. We deserve better. Our sport deserves better, he writes.

Several other Barcelona players have also taken to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the Spanish Football Association.

The league match between Atlético de Madrid and Athletic is also postponed.

The storm has been called Filomena, and the amount of snow in Madrid is the most seen in 40-50 years, according to the newspaper El País.

According to the Reuters news agency, thousands of motorists have been left on blocked roads. On Friday night, Real Madrid had to wait four hours to fly to Pamplona before Saturday’s game against Osasuna.

On Saturday the Madrid airport was also closed.
