Mountaineer Henrik Kristoffersen collaborated with Eirik Grønolen, one of those killed in the Gjerdrum cadastre.
– First of all, it is incredibly sad for all those affected and for those who have their loved ones missing or deceased. Thoughts go to them, of course, Kristoffersen said during a digital press conference Monday.
Grønolen has produced the Kristoffersen website and worked closely with the mountaineer and his team on it.
– It’s not the easiest thing to talk about. It was a bit chilly on the ridge. Dad called and said he was one of the missing. You don’t know exactly what to say, Kristoffersen said.
– The thoughts go to those closest to him, to those around him and to all those affected in Gjerdrum. I’m from the area and have spent time there. It’s incredibly sad, he continued.
Five of the seven found in the Ask en Gjerdrum landslide have been identified. A total of ten people disappeared after the landslide that occurred on the night of Wednesday, December 30. Seven have been confirmed dead.
