– Pets, we work with that. We have the capacity with volunteers to help retrieve pets and possibly feed them, as long as the geologists say yes to we can get into those houses. This is the second police dog injured in the rescue operation.

Myrbø stresses that at 12.30 it is still a rescue operation, and that it will be classified as at least until Sunday.

– There have been some minor landslides on the edge of the landslide, it is as expected, says the regional leader in NVE, Toril Hofshagen.

The rescue team is working full-time in the landslide area Sunday afternoon.

– We work full time in the pit. We have five teams working inside at the same time. They have a very difficult job, it is difficult to work there and it is not completely risk free. They rush slowly, but we’ve come a long way in the search, says Fire Chief Gøran Syversen.

He says they will continue working through the afternoon and into the night.

Searched all night

– We have conducted searches throughout the night based on the points marked, said Nedre Romerike’s manager of fire and rescue operations, Kenneth Wangen, during a press release at 0900 hours.

– Now the crash site has been at rest for a couple of hours. Wind conditions are starting to improve a bit and we are now establishing two sectors. One sector will expand slightly to the north. Five teams work on site and focus primarily on construction material.

Wangen emphasized that this was still a rescue operation.

– This is a demanding and risky operation, in which we mainly search buildings where there is hope of finding survivors. We’re looking at where the dog marks, said the task manager.

Three people found on Saturday

On Saturday, three people were found dead in the area of ​​the landslide. Later, the police also announced that it was Eirik Grønolen (31) who was found dead on Friday.

The search for survivors continued unabated throughout the night until Sunday. The plan was to hold out until 04:00 on Sunday morning first, but it was decided to continue.

During the night, the Armed Forces paver was also placed in the landslide to secure rescue teams.

The path to be traced will allow search teams to travel more safely in the volatile landslide. The vehicle is manned by personnel from the Engineer Battalion of the Armed Forces.
