Arsenal bubbled up in the snow

West Bromwich 0-4 Arsenal

Mikel Arteta and Arsenal really seem to be back on track after a demanding period. It snowed heavily for much of Saturday’s game, but Arsenal still delivered fiery-type attacking football.

– Arteta has fought a lot, but takes the third in a row. It takes some weight off your shoulders and gives you confidence, says TV 2 expert Trevor Morley.

The third win in a row means that the London club are now in 11th place with 23 points, but the road ahead is significantly shorter than before.

– Now it looks much better for Arsenal. The arrow points in the right direction, says TV 2 expert Erik Thorstvedt.

Good scores
After 22 minutes, Kieran Tierney came in from the right, feinted and sped over the lopsided defender to make it 1 – 0, giving Darnell Furlong the lead. The Scotsman moved closer to the penalty area and placed the ball in the opposite corner with his right foot.

– It does exactly what it wants. What a wonderful goal. It’s very well done, says TV 2 expert Erik Thorstvedt.

Just six minutes later, Arsenal doubled the lead, and in a magnificent way. Bukayo Saka had the pleasure of finishing off a very nice and well directed Gunners attack. Lightning-fast combinations on the ground meant the WBA defense was nowhere near catching up when Emile Smith Rowe finally served Saka.

– This is the type of football we are used to from Arsenal, says Trevor Morley.

– I pay tribute to Tierney’s goal, but this is really better. That is a great goal. Now Arsenal is back. It’s like watching the old gang carry on, says Thorstvedt.

Lacazette removed all doubt
West Bromwich looked to be off to a great start in the second half, but Callum Robinson’s knowledge of the net was properly canceled due to an offside up front.

But there was never any doubt about where the victory would end. After 60 minutes, Lacazette Arsenal arranged the third for the night after pinball in the WBA box.

Just four minutes later, the same man doubled the lead when he scored from a precise Tierney post.

Aubameyang had a golden opportunity to score on the butt, but the 31-year-old’s shot was the toothless type. The Gabonese also had another chance minutes later, but Johnstone had little trouble saving the attempt.

Thus, they finished 4-0 against Arsenal at The Hawtorns.
