Galatasaray Vice President Abdurrahim Albayrak made it clear that the club would sue the ambulance worker who released the image of Omar Elabdellaoui after he was injured by fireworks on New Year’s Eve.

– An ambulance employee at the scene took photos and shared them on social media. It’s a shame, the vice president said after the accident, continuing:

– This person (Elabdellaoui) has three children and Galatasaray has 30 million fans. Our friend is loved by thousands of people, family and friends in this country. What kind of conscience is behind such an image? It’s a shame, right?

Elabdellaoui is said to have been briefed on the leaked image of the hospital visitors on Friday. It is also said that he received information that his club wants to sue.

Hurriyet claims that the Norwegian national team player does not want the ambulance worker to be sued.

– No, don’t. His family will be injured, Elabdellaoui is said to have said.

Hurriyet has also provided more details about the accident. According to the Turkish media, Elabdellaoui was transported first to the Bahçelievler Medical Park, but was transferred to Liv Ulus Hospital after initial checks due to the extent of the damage.

TV 2 has tried to contact Elabdellaoui’s agent, Mikail Adampour, without success.
