The Norwegian jumped 137 meters and leads the New Year’s jump race in Garmish-Partenkirchen.

Halvor Egner Granerud formed a solid starting point before the final round of the traditional New Year’s jump race when he landed at 137 meters.

– Granerud continues to deliver from the top shelf, exclaimed Johan Remen Evensen from the NRK commentary box after the jump.

The Norwegian is one point behind David Kubacki and is 7.2 points behind Kamil Stoch.

Karl Geiger, who won the opening race, jumped 131 meters and is in 14th place.

Qualifying winner Anze Lanisek failed despite jumping 138.5 meters. The Slovenian was down with his hand, so he must settle for a 17th place after the first half.

Robert Johansson (24th place), Daniel-André Tande (20th place) and Johan André Forfang (9th place) are also in the final round after winning their duels.

Sander Vossan Eriksen jumped 117.5 meters in a duel with Granerud, and is out of competition.
