More than 30 people evacuated – NRK Vestland

Late on New Year’s Eve night, there was a sudden movement for the Naudetaten in Bergen.

• Shortly after 9:30 p.m., a fire was reported in a single-family house in Saksarrinden in Ytrebygda.
• Then at 22.04, the police reported a fire in a single family house in Knausen by Nattlandsveien in Bergen.

In Steinsviken, there was a fire in a single family house in a row. Exchange 110 reported open flames on the roof and large development of smoke.

Smoke divers were dispatched to the home to put out the fires and search for potential residents.

According to the police, they have received comments that there should be no people in the house.

Neighbors evacuated from four houses

There was a spread danger, the fire department said.

Therefore, the residents of four nearby houses were evacuated. Two people are supervised by ambulance personnel after being exposed to smoke.

The operations leader at NRK informs NRK that at least 18 people were evacuated from neighboring houses in the neighborhood.

There was intense smoke development and a large firefighting effort in the city, so it is unclear when residents can return to their homes.

17 evacuees from a house fire in Nattland

Also in Nattland on Landås, a house fire was reported on New Year’s Eve.

There were reports of flames on the roof and fire in the attic. The message arrived shortly after 10 p.m.

– Here there will be control of all residents of the house. At the moment, it is not considered a danger to spread to other houses here, said operations leader Rebnord.

According to the police, 17 people have been evacuated from various apartments in the house. No one has been reported injured, police say. Ten people were evacuated from the apartment near the attic, while seven people were evacuated from the apartment below.

At 10:45 p.m., the fire department reports that the house fire has been extinguished.

I think it’s starting on the ceiling

NRK has spoken with a witness who arrived at the house just as the fire was about to break out.

– It smelled very burning in the apartment and then we saw outside that there was a lot of smoke. We suspect this will start outside on the roof, he says.

He said that they quickly evacuated everyone from the apartment and that everyone who was there was now fine.
