Another 46 people living about 2 km north of the landslide area in Ask are evacuated. There are visible cracks in the ground with a tendency to expand, according to police.
The leader of the task, Roger Pettersen, does not have an overview of how many people are affected, but says it will be the houses in the Kokstad area.
– There is no drama in relation to this here, but there is more caution. It’s the changes in soil masses that geologists have shown that make us take action, says NVE chief Toril Hofshagen.
According to Hofshagen, there is a larger crack 3-4 meters wide and 1 meter deep, as well as other smaller cracks.
Ten people are still missing after the landslide that took place in Gjerdrum on Wednesday night. The landslide remains unstable.

Both areas that have been evacuated are previously mapped fast clay zones.
The reason for the evacuation is that clear cracks have been found in the ground also north of the landslide area.
– There are visible cracks in the ground with a tendency to expand, and also traces of clay in the streams, says Pettersen.
It says the evacuation is taking place in the area with and around Kokstad Farm. Farm animals that cannot be evacuated are cared for by firefighters.

Police urge not to send New Year’s rockets into the area
– I ask citizens to allow us to implement the measures that we intend to implement overnight.

Highway 120 has been closed in the immediate area and inland to Ask.
