Police considered overnight whether to shoot a dog into the avalanche area to search. At 6 o’clock, the police confirm that a dog has searched the masses of buildings in the area of the avalanche, without giving any results.

– Both the dog, the dog handler and the SeaKing rescuer have now been inside the landslide area. He conducted a search to build masses to no avail, writes the Eastern Police District Twitter.

Listening and observation posts have also been set up at night. The meteorological conditions of the place make the search operation difficult.

“We have searched with rescue helicopters and Sea King drones all night, but sadly to no avail,” Operations Manager Karianne Knudsen in the Eastern Police District tells NTB.

Ten people have yet to be counted for more than 24 hours after the landslide started.
