Donald Trump, Nobel Peace Prize | Donald Trump announces himself with Nobel Prize in new bragging video

With a picture of a Nobel Prize medal, Donald Trump announces achievements in peace work. But the president, who has not won the Nobel Prize, cannot reproduce a picture of the medal.

“Trump defends peace,” or “Trump defends peace,” reads a boastful new video that Donald Trump posted on Twitter just before midnight Norwegian time Monday.

You can see Trump’s video in the window above..

The Twitter video, which the president placed at the top of his news, shows Trump waving on a balcony and in a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In the lower right corner there is an image of the Nobel Prize medal. For the ignorant, it is obvious to conclude that Trump won the Nobel Peace Prize.

The only problem is that Trump, unlike his predecessor Barack Obama, has never won this award, even though he was nominated for it this fall by MP Christian Tybring-Gjedde (Frp).

Not allowed

Since Trump is not a Nobel laureate, he is also not allowed to use the image of the medal. This is, therefore, a clear violation of the Nobel Prize’s own rules for reproducing the Nobel Medal.

An image of the medal can only be reproduced if it is an illustration of an article about Alfred Nobel himself, the Nobel Prize winner, or a Nobel Prize winner, as set out in the rules of the Nobel Foundation.

It must then also be reproduced with a special mark showing that the Nobel Foundation has copyright to the medal.

The online newspaper has contacted the Nobel Prize’s press department, which has not responded to the query. The leader of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Berit Reiss-Andersen, does not wish to comment on the matter at this time.

Turn heads

However, Trump’s Nobel Medal has already garnered attention online, with several pointing out that Trump never won the Peace Prize.

Here at home, author and editor Anders Heger has also made the same point.

“Are you meat now?”, Writes one of his followers, clearly surprised.
