The Mjøndalen captain took the opportunity to criticize the referee once his place in the Eliteserien was secured.
INTILITY ARENA (Nettavisen): It was an incredible drama when Mjøndalen landed a new contract in the Eliteserien after a crazy 3-2 win against Sogndal in the qualifying final on Monday night.
The decisive goal came within a full seven minutes of extra time when Markus Nakkim hit the ball into the net from a corner kick.
After the match, it was a relieved Mjøndalen captain who met with the press. Christian Gauseth was naturally proud of the team’s ability to fight back and secure a new contract, but the veteran also took the opportunity to send a powerful message.
For one thing in particular, he has created anger and frustration on the Mjøndalen field this season.
– There are many who owe us an apology. Judge Norway is one of them. There are no clubs that are judged as much as we are, it is absolutely incredible that he has to be here in 2020 and ask for a fair trial, was one of the comments Gauseth said directly on Eurosport after the match.

– We played a bad game, but there is something about this band that is quite special. There are a lot of teams that collapsed and signed up for 1-2 there. We have such good training to get jerks.
