Homeless cats in Løken received a text message on Monday saying that three cats should be hanging from a tree near a hiking trail, writes Indre Akershus Blad.
– I had never imagined the vision I came to. When you see that, you just have to throw up. It’s so grotesque. I’m desperate. Doing such a thing is totally unacceptable, says board chairman Kjersti Teig in Homeless Cats.
A cat hung from a tree. The guts, hair, and body parts of two other cats lay on the ground. Next to the cats were three shotgun shells.
The cats were found near a hiking trail in Grorudfjellet in Enebakkneset, about 40 meters from the main road and 400 meters from the nearest residential house.
The cat that was found hanging from a tree was subjected to an autopsy at the Trøgstad Animal Clinic. Here a lot of hail was found both in the jaw and in the stomach region.
– It was a hunter who found the cats. I’m glad it wasn’t a family on tour that found them, says board member Tittin Foss-Haneborg, who can only speculate who can do something so brutal.
Indre Akershus Blad has been unable to obtain a comment from the police on the case.
