More and more people are looking for a missing child in Valnesfjord in Nordland. The boy in his 20s has been missing since last night.

The boy never returned home as agreed, to the great concern of the family. Therefore, they reported her missing this afternoon.

The boy has not been seen after he left a party alone at a private address at 03 hour, operations manager Tommy Bech in the Nordland police district tells NRK.

– He was last seen near that address. There are other people who have been to the same party, who report this time, says Bech.

Valnesfjord is a town on the outskirts of Fauske, northeast of Bodø, which has scattered buildings.

– A search is being carried out in this area with the police and volunteers, says Bech.

The Red Cross Auxiliary Corps, Norwegian People’s Aid, a drone team from Salten Brann and Norwegian Rescue Dogs assist the police.

More and more scouting resources are being added and so far 11 people have signed up for the Red Cross scouting.

– We will get more people if necessary, says the operations manager.

– It’s cold, very cold

Since four thirty, crews have been actively searching for terrain. Sunday has been, and still is, negative degrees and a lot of wind in Valnesfjord.

– There are many effective freezing temperatures. This makes the search conditions more demanding, but so far has not affected our efforts, says Bech.

How long they will search is an ongoing evaluation, he says.

According to Avisa Nordland, the police are asking the people of Valnesfjord to look for the boy in their own buildings and premises.

– The most important thing tonight is to have the exploration work well organized, says the operations manager at the site to the newspaper.
