As Santa was about to deliver gifts to children in hospitals in eastern Norway, Santa realized he was having a hard time. Then he received help from the police and his helicopter.

– Due to time pressure, this year Santa Claus will be assisted by our police helicopter to deliver Christmas gifts to various hospitals in Oslo and Viken. In this regard, the helicopter will be visible and audible for short periods to more people, writes the Oslo police district on Twitter.

This is probably the first time Santa has replaced the reindeer with a helicopter.

– This is the first time that we have helped Santa with the distribution of gifts using the police helicopter, says Svend Kristian Lie, operations manager in the Oslo police district.

According to the police, Santa is having a hectic day. Several of the Eastern Norwegian pediatric wards in hospitals will visit you with gifts.

– The helicopter will land at the Oslo and Viken hospitals to give gifts to children who have to spend the day in the hospital. In three-quarters of an hour, they have already visited several hospitals, says the director of operations on Christmas Eve morning.

The helicopter will pass Ullevål, Rikshospitalet, Sunnås and Viken before traveling south towards Tønsberg.

In the Eastern Police District, Santa won’t get the land, but the kids will still see the bearded man.

– Today, the police helicopter has a plan to visit the pediatric wards of the Drammen and Tønsberg hospitals together with Santa Claus. Santa will not land, but will greet children from the helicopter, police say on Twitter.

Secret content

It is unknown what Santa has with him.

– We don’t care what Santa brings with him. It is a secret that only Santa Claus knows.

So far the response has been good. In case something serious happens, Santa realizes that the gift operation must be canceled.

– If something happens that means that the helicopter should be used for something other than gift-giving, we should reorganize Santa Claus. It has been a quiet Christmas Eve so far, so we bet this goes without a hitch. So far we’ve only gotten good feedback, says the operations manager.
